I think all this talk about inhumane treatment of the captured Taliban and al Qaeda is retarded. American military protocol requires that any prisoner be treated humanely. From everything I know about interrogation, the techniques involved are usually more on a psychological level than many of your ideas of "torture". Physical harm, long or short term aren't things that we do anymore. They just aren't as effective as some other methods. I think the subject of inhumane treatment should just be dropped...it's a waste of time to discuss. Some prisoners have even been quoted as being happy to be in "America" because they don't know they're in Cuba. They've also been quoted saying they like the food and the treatment, which is better than what they endured in Afghanistan.
