I agree with you that the subject of torture should be dropped. I believe that it does allow for a good conversation but at the same time I think that the problem is that we do not know how interrogations and toture occur. In my mind I can only imagine how these men are being treated. But how do I know for sure. Also, many Americans are very sensitive on this subject and feel that we have valid reasons for torture. As inhumane as this sounds I understand where they are coming from even though i may not agree.
