Subject: Terrorist groups or guerrillas?

In class we have discussed what distinguishes a terrorist group from a guerilla group. I must admit that of you all posed great questions and gave useful input. I believe that it is very difficult to distinguish between the two. We can make rules and margins but there will always be exceptions and I think that this is very important to note.
In my opinion, I must support Ana when she says that public support is an important factor.
I see guerrillas as a group of people in a country or region that has so little power and has been supressed to the point that they band together and attempt to bring about long term change or reform, sometimes using any means necessary that will gain attention.
Terrorism, or terrosist acts, seem to serve the purpose of scarying a certain group. In a way it seems like a form of revenge.
At the same time I believe that both types of groups can go through stages where the amount of support and influence they maintain fluctuates.

I pose that question: Can terrorist groups be guerrillas and visa versa?
