i quickly flick the stubborn coldness aside which emenates from this beaten physique. aren't the best finds like this? oh well...that wouldn't push me away, i'd endured more than one snubbing within my lifetime and another one sure wouldn't hurt. i had gone so far to offer my help, she was going to get it now whether she liked it or not.

as she slips off further into the dreaded darkness i extend my other paw, wrapping one arm around her frail waist. i snatch at her hands, hoping to catch them within my grasp before she can react negatively with claws.

where do you bring someone like this who has the extent of injuries she had? i wasn't an old-timer here, this metro was quite fresh to me and i probaby wasn't the best person to help her, but i - strangely - wanted to.
