history/background: the small boy�s back was to the wall, plastered against it. shrieks of horror reached the boys ears, and tears were streaming down his face, bronze from summer sun. As the flames crept nearer and nearer destined to murder John as they had murdered the rest of his family, John, scooted back farther and farther. Instead of moving backwards, he crept upwards, as there was nowhere else to go. Mom� The boy breathed out. Flames licked his skin, and at first the licks stung. But soon, the fire was pushed back, out of reach of John. Some lengthy flames flickered towards the boy, but none of the flames hurt him. screaming, john ran out of the house, and collapsed onto the grass. that was where the police found him fifteen minutes later.

john�s powers manifested early, around ten. he learned how to control them around age eleven, and was quite flashy and arrogant with using them. whenever john attempted to �show� all his friends how �powerful� he was, a much more powerful mutant stopped him. he came to xaviers after drifting in and out of foster homes for several years, and has been here for two years. recently, he has joined the brotherhood.
