He immediately senses her obvious discomfort at the memories, and swallows with the feeling of an outright idiot. Carefully, he lifts one hand to brush away a few stands of hair that had managed to stick out. He shakes his head.

"I'm a bitter person, Aurora. Always was, always will be. I owe you big time, thought. You're right. I didn't know how, but now I do. I can imagine myself a very lonely man today if I hadn't met you. And I enjoyed that kiss. I really did. Really."
