Subject: #9 a dog, but Zeta is a Keeper

Having never played Sc. 9 mostly because of the balance issues I've heard about, I cant really comment on it. Reading the victory conditions, though, makes these problems pretty apparent.

I have, however, had the PLEASURE of playing this scenario at the Zeta-0(completed), and Zeta-1(playtesting) levels. ALL of the games I've played on this scenario have come down to the wire. I do have to say, the Americans won all the matches, but they were very close games.

There are many defensive setup decisions to be made, and many different attack avenues that can be used to counter these defensive obstacles. Being able to maneuver effectively as the defense to keep the attacking forces at bay, but at the same time not losing units too fast becomes very difficult as the game progresses. As the attacking forces close in, the once available withdrawl routes can quickly disappear. Not to mention the nasty 6fp that American units put out, can be quite intimidating when you have multiple stacks of 3 lined up on you with 9-1 leaders with each!!!

This one, imo, is well worth the playtime. When you play as the germs, you feel claustrophobic. When you play as the ami's you feel as though you dont have enough squads to get the job done. This one is a keeper
