Yes, depending upon which rules you are using, see below.

It is absolutely important for everyone using VSQL to realize that the maps are "borrowed" from VASL and use the ASL definitions of LOS. Alas, the ASL LOS definitions and terrain definitions are different from those of SL, CoI, CoD, and GI.

The first difference is that ASL has "added" a level 1 in all buildings that is between ground level (level o) and the second level (level 2 in both). So when you are using these maps, SL does NOT HAVE a building "level 1."

Next, remember that SL rule 57 (upper level buildings), added in scenario #10, is the first place where you need to specify whether you are "upstairs" or "downstairs" in those three-hex (or more) buildings. So, depending upon the rules that you are using, you might or might not need to use those "second level" counters, which will also affect whether you have an LOS.

Hope this has helped!

PS. ASL also has a "blind hex" rule that is based on distance, so do not pay much attention to blind hexes identified by the maps. You will just have to interpret the maps per the rules that you find in the SL, etc. rules.

PPS. At some point it is hoped that "SL" LOS can be provided for the maps we use, but for the time being we wil have to accept what we have.
