I'll echo Mike; thanks! We feel that this sort of information is useful to many folks, and actually hope that anybody with interest in writing about tactics will do so and send it to us for posting here. We believe in crediting your work, too!

The robustness of the SL game system is reinforced by how the concepts can be ported to related environmnets. Many years ago I had two friends who used Microarmor minitures and rules merged with SL infantry rules. Fun to see a company of halftracks driving around with an SL squad counter perched on top of each one! :-)

Also, Avalon Hill experimented with publishing larger-hexed mapboards "Duluxe ASL" or "DSL" with the primary intention of permitting play with minitures vehicles. The boards should still be available in the secondary markets (particularly since the idea was not a successful business venture), if anyone has the interest.
