Dear friends of the lake:
I am very excited to have another workday for Wilson State Park. The volunteer workday is scheduled for April 17th, 2004 from 1 until 5 p.m. I hope everyone had a great time last year. We had an exceptional day and got a great deal of work done around the parks. The Corps of Engineers is not having a Lake Cleanup this year, so we will be requesting volunteers to perform various projects throughout the State Park. In return for a short day of work, we will be allowing all volunteers to camp free of charge Saturday night. There will also be a cook out provided by the Wilson State Park Staff and area sponsors at the end of the day to show our appreciation for your involvement with the Lake Area. This letter is not going out to everyone who visits the lake, so please give this information to anyone who may be interested in participating and get a group together to show your support.
Some of the projects we are hoping to accomplish are; placement of fire rings and grills in numerous campgrounds, tree planting, placing a shelter structure, painting picnic tables, and other park projects identified prior to the workday. By way of this letter, you are requested to participate in this annual event. Any ideas for additional projects would be greatly appreciated and may be directed to me at the State Park Office. Get them to me soon so we can make them work.

Please contact the Park Office at (785) 658-2465 to RSVP with total numbers of participants and for additional information by April 9, 2004.
