A few of you have come forth expressing concern about the operating capacity of our new messageboard. I thought I should reassure you all here and now that it's not as buggered as one might think (although one could be forgiven for thinking that).
The new Coffee Table Message Board is configured so that every thread that has something new posted to it becomes the topmost thread.
So, if (for example) Jared posts a GBU on Sunday, and Euan posts a film review on Monday, the review would be at the top after Euan posted it. However, if Leila then replied on Tuesday to the GBU, the GBU and its reply would be at the top.
I apologise here, 'cos I really see how it gets a bit confusing to those used to the previous messageboard where everything was static. However, I actually did this on purpose. I'd noticed a few times at our last home that a discussion that was otherwise active and dead interesting would simply stop because people were having to scroll further and further down the page to get to it. This way, any new points or conversations are brought up to, well, the place where you'd expect to find new stuff.
I realise I probably should have mentioned this at the outset, though, so I apologise for the confusion.
