I haven't seen it yet, so can't comment directly. Though when I saw the trailers I realised I'd forgotten how good the 'actual' Matrix was as opposed to such-and-such-a-thing 'doing' The Matrix. But it does seem to be something that's going to be both helped and hampered by its own 'legacy'.

I can't remember who said it, but I think it was best put when someone said that 'the best special effect is one that no-one knows is there'.
