I've been rather active on a couple of boards. This seems like such a nice place to post. As young marrieds with no children, we're about to go out to Sunday dinner. Yesterday, we went to just watch the little children gather Easer eggs. Seeing all those little children tempts you.
I just thought I would ask how each of you got into smoking and how your expanded family and friends would take it.
I quit teaching, became a waitress and starting trying cigarettes. My friends at work think its something everyone should do and most follow that practice.
My mother is mad at me because I quit teaching. She clings to the hope that I am saving up to go to law school. That is a possibility. She's rather vocal about not smoking although she would never imagine her little girl smoking. She's not perfect in smoking terms. She is pictured holding a cigarette in a college yearbook.
For a teacher I ramble too much. Perhaps a lawyer is what I am destined to be.
Anyway, how did you start smoking and why did you continue. At this I can see nothing accidental about my decision to smoke and my decision to continue smoking if I so desire. I see telling my husband I smoke a small bump in the road of life. It hasn't happened so far.
Hope everyone answers with some sort of smoking comment.
