I have this friend who was born in Korea and never smoked when she came over here. Then some friends got her to try cigarettes in a general Americanization move. She learned to like Marlboro 100s. For seven years, she smoked them. Shortly after moving back into this area five years ago, she quit smoking.
Her husband, a Texas native, is developing family property in our growing area.
A few months ago, she started smoking again with her stepson's girlfriend. She went to Korea recently and presented me with a pack of Korean cigarettes.
The pack could pass for an American pack except that is it almost entirely written in Korean.
It has Sinabro in two places and Low tar and Nocitine in another. It is a white pack with a gold Marlboro Light strip that provides the background for Sinabro once. On the flip top box, it says Low Tar and Nocotine in white type reversed against a thin black line.
The name is on the front, reversed against a violet stripe. The name starts with a an upside down V in reversed type. It resembles a pack of Marlboro Light and tastes a lot like Marlboro Lights.
