Nothing is forever, especially television romances. When a character says I'll love you forever, it really means until the show goes off the air or they network jump. Buffy and Angel were good, but they couldn't hack it and that's that. If they were meant to be together why aren't they? Because they are not and they can't be. The definition of "meant for each other" is actually being able to be together which Buffy and Angel cannot do and not just sexually. Besides they both love other people now and if they can only love each other how is that possible? I'll tell you, they got over it! Of course as they were breaking up they thought they would never love another person but it is obvious they do love other people and are just close friends right now.
