 DOGS OF COURAGE

Mighty are those dogs of war
Helping soldiers settle the score.

They fought for our country,
They fought for our dignity,

Faithful to their soldier friend
Standing by them to the very end.

They never left their soldiers side
Showing true dignity and pride.

The only colors that they see
Are red, white and blue for eternity.

Disease soon took its toll on them.
They got left behind and tears were shed.

The faithful dogs of courage live on.
In ours hearts, they’ll never be gone.

A memorial was built to honor them.
For us, they would do it all again.

Each and every canine’s a hero.
Not one backed down against it’s foe.

Through all the blood, sweat and tears,
Never once did they cower in fear.

Courage and bravery carved its name
On that doggie memorial of fame.

Let’s never forget their loyalty
For fighting for our land of the free.
