LOVE PARENT, LOVE CHILD MIRROR POEM
A little baby boy,
I remember his smile, his laugh, his cry.
He is not my son though I could
Of swore he breathed with me, ate with me,
Sang with me, too.
Little child, if you are there,
Who are you?
What is your name?
Do you know me as I know you?
Talk to me.
Tell me, do you
Belong with me?
I know I can’t be who you need me to be.
But I just can’t help it, for I love you so.
