I see a girl in front of me
As the day is slowly dying
She looks so sad and lonely there
As though she has been crying

I ask her, "what's the matter?"
But she only stands and stares
Perhaps she's locked inside herself
Because there's no one else who cares

Those teary eyes pierce through my soul
Imploring, "how did it all go wrong?"
Mourning for the love that's lost forever
And asking, "now where do I belong?"

She looks so very frightened
So lost and all alone
Where will she find the strength now
To make it on her own

I reach out my hand to touch her face
To comfort and console her
But all I touch is a cold hard place
It's just the reflection in my mirror
