I just wrote a really smart analysis of the Titans, but couldn't post it. Damn. Well the gist of it was really simple: seems to me that Willie's trying to carry the team (21 shots yesterday -- too many). Senior leaders do that, but it doesn't always work (5 turnovers?). Riggs had a decent 19 minutes last night shooting (5/7) but fouled out, and 2 rebounds is not enough. He is not a bust. Warren's 6 rebounds were good and 9 points is okay, but in 32 minutes? Wallace didn't seem to have much of a game at all. On the very positive side they had a great night at the line.

My view of the bottom line?: they'll probably lose to UCSB. Who cares? No NIT anyway. They shoudl then come home and win their last two, solidify 4th or 5th in the league tourney and have a little momemtum going into the home game. What's so bad about that? I think that's the kind of position UIC was in last year...
