Would anyone feel guilty if the Titans win the conference tournament and went to the NCAA given the way they have played this year when there may be teams in the position Butler was in last year not making the NCAA? Maybe its the guilty Catholic in me, but I would feel a little funny. With that said, I think the Titans will be better than many teams in the NCAA, and, depending on which Titan team shows up, they would have a chance at beating more than half of the teams in the field.

Another related question: Are there too many automatic bids? I'm kind of tired of seeing these poor conferences, or teams with poor records winning their conference tournament taking a space among the 64/65. Perhaps without automatic bids, all we would see are teams from the big 6 conferences.
