Whatever happened in that game was going to be a wash for the Titans. Though the Titans beat WKU, they lost to Lafayette. Thus, based on last night's outcome and the RPI, the Titans beat a "better" team, but lost to a "lesser" team. So nothing changes. Likewise, had Lafayette won last night, according to the RPI, the Titans would have lost to a "better" team, but would have beaten "only a lesser" team. Something that is hurting U-D's RPI is that Toledo and Western have failed to distinguish themselves in the MAC, and BGSU and Buffalo have been in the tank all year.
