>I too am constantly bothered by our poor attendance and everything that contributes to it. I get tired of trying to talk my friends into going to U-D games. They will truly only attend if we play U-M or MSU, and when is that going to happen? Never? And I am dreading looking around at another paltry 1,500 Tuesday for a TOURNAMENT game.

I went to the City Championship Game and had to watch Jamal Crawford and Dion Harris (both committed to U-M) play against each other. The level of play truly was first-rate. Whenever there was a nice above-the-rim dunk, block, etc. the crowd of about 10,000 in Cobo (more than we got in Cobo for anyone except the "big two" and maybe Notre Dame) would ooh and aah. The plays were nice but they were big-time high school moves. They were plays that Willie Green makes five times a game and in his sleep and nothing that would approach his highlight reel stuff. I felt like getting up and yelling, "if you think that was so great why don't you come to Calihan and see the real big-time aerial display". Of course no one would have heard me, even if they had been able to hear my voice...
