The man's grin disappears with a swear as the stallion comes barreling towards him. So here was the alpha who had come to protect his mare and likely his foal. His once steady mount springs into action, but entirely in defense. Agile rodeo horse that he was, he was no match for two mustang stallions, one of which was a seasoned veteran. To make matters worse, John had chosen his gelding, and geldings would rarely stand up to stallions. He lets out a loud yell, and his reply is two whistles. That settled, he busies himself trying to hold off the stallion and keep the mare from yanking the strong rope from his saddle. Dropping the reins and trusting his quarter horse, he quickly takes out a long whip, yelling and flicking it at the stallions as his mount tries not to be beat to a pulp. Mercifully, several other men arrive over the hill as the solitary pair are losing ground fast to the defensive, maddened herd. Two additional ropes settle around the mare's neck, and one of the men with a rough-and-tough mare rushes forward to help defend John. The last man canters around behind Daylite, and his horse immediately assumes 'cutting-horse' mode, trying to drive the mare from the herd. If they could just make it home, the two stallions and free mare wouldn't be a problem.

(I know that is some seriously major powerplaying, so ignore whatever you want. I'm trying to get it so that Daylite is taken captive... it might seriously stir up the herd. This is Cebra's player btw, so that's why she's not involved in this, and that also means you don't need to worry about anything permanent happening. If things get too out of hand here or back at the farm, I'll drop everything and John'll let Daylite go. Sorry Daylite that you have to be the one he chose! I might be tempted to get Cebra in on this, but since I play her, she'd 'conveniently' go for all of his weak spots, and it just wouldn't be cool. lol.)
