The shine in his eyes mirrored Daylite's exhuberance, and he could not tear his attention from the glorious chestnut fluff that was his child. So bewitched was he by his new fatherhood that Star could find no words to answer the mother of this lovely being. Infact, he could do little else but stare.

Two long lashed lids slid open upon the world, gazing placidly from behind the curls that were his forelock. Birth had found him faultless, at least in his father's eyes, and he shifted now to better view the sky, the earth, the foilage and the two horses that would be the center of his every thought for the early years of his life. His muzzle, white snipped in the image of Star, waved in the air, a jewel upon his fine neck. Daybreak Star: Cherished One.
