Lunitai stood over Tamhome and said gently Let me tell you a story.
She paused and then spoke again, her voice light and flowing as if the words were that of a song.
Many years ago when Aelour was young and the races just started to emerge, the Gods and Goddesses felt another presence 'mongst their solemn serene realm, a precense they referred to as 'Meshoka' or in Common as the Creature of No Identity.
The God Aelorus, the True Creator of this realm feared this presence would bring corruption to his simple realm, and he was correct.
Meshoka created his own race of creatures called Demons. In his latter conquests he created another, a creature that exists now: the Agloa.
When he whom is Meshoka let loose the parasite this deeply upset Aelorus and his mate the Goddess Okarli, Goddess of the Shifters. Okarli had created her small race the Shifters when Aelorus created the Pure race, the Elvenkind. The two society coincided upon the plane of Aelour, with their God's guidances, little did they know of Meshoka's corruption.
Latter Gods created the Dragonkind and other smaller races, such as the Centaur and the Wyvren.
Alas, those smaller races would die out quickly as Meshoka created Evil.
On with the story, Meshoka had two -how should I say?- eyes on Aelour. One is the late Reglaer and the other the Agloa Ralen, whom coincides within the soul of Arrasha Arrow-Shot.
Mekosha lusted for conquest and he hated the other Powers that Be with a vengeance. He sent Reglaer's armies to kill the Dragonkind. Little is known about that conquest that destroyed the Dragons, but it is written of those whom tried to save it. Stryker the Shifter, Falin the Shiftess, Rekai the Elven, Kajin the Elven, L'kani the Elven princess, Stalker the Demon, and Teralak the Demon.
As it is known, they lost and Dragonkind was destroyed as was Reglaer.
The Gods were in anguish.
Aelorus called Meshoka and challenged him for supremacy. Both lost and Okarli now looks over Aelour, trying to right the scales. She can do naught excpecially as Meshoka laid one final curse 'pon Aelour. Evil's rising.
The Goddess of Wisdom Hyma and the God of Rightousness Jitrim wrote a prophecy amongst the stars to ease the pain of the curse upon beautiful Aelour and that is as follows:
On Aelorus' soul;
On Meshoka's death;
On Evil's curse;
On Good's labors.
A mortal will rise;
a protector beside;
Evil's breath is harsh;
as they come.
Those blessed by Okarli;
'gainst Meshoka's Curse.
Much danger;
much death;
the two shall face;
tho alone they shall be naught.
Beware the deemed Temptress;
beware the traitorous;
they must heed.
They gave the prophecy to the Moon Goddess to hold and she brought it to her Sacred Vale, where it lays hidden within silven rays.
You Tamahome, you are meant to be where you are. You were meant to find Chrestomanci and Seriema. You MUST heed the prophecy.
You are the Protector, you are blessed by Okarli.
Now, you must return to my Vale, Chrestomanci and Seriema are in danger. Ralen, child of Meshoka has taken Arrasha's soul. Go now! Waste no more time.
She touched his forehead and a half moon glittered there for a moment till she pulled her hand away. She smiled and whispered, her words silk:
The Moon Goddess shall forever watch over you, dear, dear Tamahome.
She turned and ran fleetingly through the forest and a gentle silver trail appeared to the mercenary..the trail to the Moon Vale.
Cat's brow furrowed, "Yes, where is Lunatai and Tamahome? This doesn't feel right."
Elessar turned to them, and leaped...
He slammed into Cat and knocked the Chosen One off of his feet. Cat yelped and his the strange words of magic escape his lips.
Elessar writhes in pain and at kicked him off, keeping his eyes on the Demon to keep the magic flowing.
His lips moved in silent words of magic to keep the Demon at bay.
Elessar screamed curses, thankfully most of them incoherant as he howled in pain.
Rowan slept, one hand flung over her head as if warding off pain. Suddenly her eyes shot open and she saw Ethren standing at her window, his hand behind his back as he usually stood, facing away from her, his hood down.
Rowan wrestled with the sheets for a moment and then got up from the bed, her bare feet striking the cold stone-made floor.
She whispered, "Ethren."
Ethren turned as Rowan studied his finely chiseled face, those ebon eyes the silken hair. He looked so much like his son!
He spoke, "I have something for you to do, my dear."
Rowan did not speak, she just nodded.
Ethren took her small hand in his and led her from the room and into his study, the room she, Ralen and he were in before.
Ethren poured her a glass of champagne and handed the blood red liquid filled glass to her. Rowan drank slowly, waiting for him to continue.
She needn't wait long.
He turned to her, "You wish to earn my trust again, Rowan Bloodbane, my Seer?"
Rowan nodded, "I do, milord."
Ethren seemed to smile then he continued, his face blank of any expression, "I want you to find the Chosen One and his Protector. You should know, you are mentioned in the prophecy as the Temptress. Do what you must, tempt eiether the Chosen or his Protector, do not fall into bitter love as I had."
Rowan nodded, beginning to understand.
"Go now, you and Ralen must work together."
Rowan snarled at this thought but agreed with her master.
She was in her chamber again, Ethren behind her as she pulled on a fresh cloak over her silk dress. She turned to him, "I am ready."
He nodded, "So be it, go now."
Rowan whispered a word of magick and disapeared letting her spiritual form take her to them....
