1. I'm using a BEV' 2700(which are still in supply but not being made anymore).I heard the Bev'3100 has the same board in it as the 2700,it also has a few more "bells and whistles".I would think price should be your guide on that question.

2. AVR'5 or 6 is the way to go they have autoroll and they also support your smart card (you said you were going to mini-sub. which is good) and going with cam is the way to go since the dreaded 02 Command that Expressvu sent down a couple of weeks ago.

3.If your looking for some reading on the subject of "Testers" here are a few links to some interesting Forums.
