His silver eyes shimmer and he licks her muzzle, his tail wagging slowly. He throws back his head in an exuberant howl, allowing the forest to know he has found his mate for life. He nuzzles her, then turns towards the mountains, so she can meet his father Thunder and his mother Blue Fire, and so they can make their home there. His black coat contrasts nicely with her snowy pelt, and he lies his head across her neck and coos in her ears. Growling love notes, he grooms her face, nudging her affectionately. He returns to the mountains he only recently fled, escorting his new and lovely mate. The only one he shall ever have. A smile creases his face as he ponders the curious fact that he is returning with much more than he left with: his entire future. Glad to spend it with her, he barks happily. He left with sorrow, he returns with immesurable joy. Extra spring in his stride, he tips his head to the sky, enjoying all of nature that surrounds him and his mate.
