They both made their way into the Weyr Bowl.

T'rus couldn't help but think how welcome this was compared to sitting around and twiddling his thumbs. Knew Wyth was thinking the same even though he was still a dragonet.

-They won't want flight straps this soon?-
Wyth queried, arching his wedge-shaped head at T'rus.

'Don't know. We'll have to make new ones later. You aren't even fully-grown yet. Can't even ride you yet.'
T'rus extended a hand to stroke his brown's wing as they ambled across the sands.

-I will carry you soon. You just wait and see!-
Wyth said curtly.

'Shouldn't have tried to flap so much. Now you are too tired to fly in.'

Wyth gave a rumble as the sand of the Bowl burned his hind legs.
-Can't always fly in every time.-
He spoke with some adivce to T'rus.

The young man could only give a chuckle and a smile to the brown that totter-walked beside him. It would be best to let Wyth BE a dragonet for however long he would be allowed to be one. He looked up at the weyrlingmaster and knew that the hints about Thread were making folks eager to supply the Weyrs with new pairs.

They both found a place on the Bowl floor and waited for the others and the weyrlingmaster's instructions.
