He gave a shrug at her comment about the price of the stock, he hadn't a clue about most of it. That deal had gone down before he'd gotten into town and he hadn't cared to discuss finances unless they had to. "I'm sure she'll be happy to tell you about it. Only thing I use them for is ropin' practice" He smirked a bit devilishly at the comment. He was horrible with a rope, but he still gave it a good try from time to time and most of the time it was easier to rope an individual out of the herd than to try and cut them out. He'd really rather have steak than live cattle, but that was just him.

He downed the last of his beer, eyes lingering on her exposed midsection before he finally rose. Pulling his wallet from his pocket, he tucked a few bills under the bottle and headed for the door. Tossing her a smirk, he finally responded to her thanks "Its nice to have a girl to buy drinks for. Most of the women in town are all shacked up and not real playful. Got a few black eyes before I learned that lesson" He held the door for her once again, letting his gaze linger on her butt this time.

Shit, he was taking her home wasn't he? So maybe she wouldn't be spending the night in his bed, at this point that was just details to his brain. She was playful enough that he might even have a chance at that if he played his cards right. He was pretty good at cards.

He opened the jeep, lifting the little pup into the backseat before climbing in and starting her up. She grumbled to life, setting herself vibrating with the power of the engine under the hood. And possibly because jeeps were just prone to being loud and uncomfortable. He liked to think the first, personally. With an ease that spoke of years of experience with 4x4's he pulled them forward instead of back. The little rust colored car took the curb like it wasn't even there, roaring as the rear wheels hit the asphalt and he put his foot down. Gears shifted easy and smooth, hardly interrupting the drive as he tore out of town and headed towards the hills.

I'm flat on the floor with my head down low
Where the sky can't rain on me anymore
Don't knock on my door 'cause I won't come
I'm hidin' from the storm 'til the damage is done
