For the smell of fear tonight
Wakes an ancient lust that will not be denied...
You're mine

He wondered briefly just which 'era' she was referring to. It had to have been something, really, to witness humankind develop and change over the centuries as she'd done. In that way, he supposed immortality was worth the obvious negatives. He would witness much change himself, of course...but not in the way this blond had. If she'd been around since ancient Egypt, she'd seen most of human history. Erich didn't think human future would be quite the same...mankind had been heading down a disappointing path for many, many years. Erich wasn't so sure he wanted to witness what would become of them in the end. "It's a skill that's certainly proved useful thus far, especially when objectivity is a forthright need." He commented on his lack of attachment, clearly unphased by the card he'd been dealt when it came to that. He had always walked the path of life alone, he knew no other way. For that reason, he didn't know to be sad over the lack of another presence at his side.
Somehow, he knew that this minx could take anything he had to give...that his virile passion would not phase her nor make her fear him. While her outward appearance was thin, fine-boned...he could practically feel the creature within her crying out for something rough, something primal. Erich had come to doubt that there would ever be a woman who could tolerate, let alone match, his sexual appetite. Having in-the-flesh proof that such a woman existed was quite surprising, to say the least. The same could be said for his body's reaction to her...the stark responsiveness was something he actually had to struggle internally to control.
His icy gaze roamed her face as the near musical sound of her chuckle reached him. He almost envied the easy way in which she displayed emotion, and the beauty of that action on her features. "This city had the highest concentration of supernatural sightings at the time. We knew they were there...getting close enough for proof was the challenge." A twinge of bitterness tainted his gaze as he remembered just how much he'd gone through for his country...only to be forgotten when the tables had turned. He would have never chosen this existence for himself...never. He'd known nothing but service to his country--now that that was gone, the blond male had little purpose...and it wasn't going to end. There might have been an antidote--his country had been focused on research in that department--if only they had looked for him. He angered even thinking of it.
He was slightly taken in by the way she turned the vulnerable flesh of her wrist towards him. Even if there was no vulnerability in eternity, the simple action seemed to symbolize quite a lot to Erich. He studied the pink design, his hard gaze drinking in the interlocking artwork that swirled around her flesh. When she spoke, his pale gaze lifted to meet hers, and he considered her offer briefly. "I may have to take you up on that...as it turned out, I carried quite a few scars over from my old life. I would not be opposed to hiding them." In life, he'd worn those scars with pride--proof that he'd endured what would have killed most. Now, however, they stood for nothing...he was not the same person, hell, even the same species. Those scars were from an old life...and he was willing to let them go.
Her last comment shifted something within him with such force that for a delirious moment, he thought the beast would take over and he'd be left powerless to stop it. Outwardly, his stoic features remained like granite as he pulled his blazing blues from her features. He slowly lifted the glass of water to his lips, sipping the liquid within. He body wanted to reject the fluid...it was not what he craved in the moment...but he managed to put it down. His large handle gripped the glass so tightly when he lowered it to the bar that a crack slowly splintered towards the topside rim. Erich barely noticed, however, leveling his lethal gaze back at her only when he thought he'd be able to push the creature within back. "Might be, you say." His voice had taken on a dry and deadly edge, thickened by the hunger she had caused. "I am in doubt that the viewer will be satisfied with a simple showing, however." While the statement was flirtatious as per the tone between them...it also has the undertone of warning beneath.

For the animal's soul is mine
We will be completed right before your eyes
I have no control this time
And now we both shall dine in hell tonight
