Trouble seemed to be brewing everywhere these days. Gone was the slight peace one could oft find in the town of Cascade. Every night now there was rumor of death, rape, drinking, drainings, and fights about. Given most of it wasn't knew. She'd dealt and served vampires, lycans, shifters, and hybrids for years...far longer than most the humans in this city knew or though. She was merely a mortal but since hitting Cascade Community College at the age of twenty-something she'd seen them or at least some of them. Even sorta dated one once...
The poster caught her eye, one because it was posted without permission from her, and two because of who he showed picture wise. "Seth?" She knew of the male simply as the local sherif, he'd done a sweep of his territory and stopped in for a glass of water once. He'd seemed an alright guy. Looking to see who'd put up the notice for him and the amount a low whistle was given. "Oh boy you sure bit off more than most can chew." She muttered to herself, texas twang sharp as she took off the poster and walked back to her office, setting the paper on her desk.
She should stop by and give the new sheriff a call. Maybe Jason could go with her, he'd had a good while off as business had been slow. It'd be nice to see them both. Fidgeting with the silver chain around her neck, the jewelry holding her wedding ring from Stan Uris, she sighed and went back to the bar and working. She had nothing against Zeth he'd rarely caused trouble in her bar and had always tipped decently when he lingered long enough to take up a booth or spot at the bar. Though his scene had always been more for the adult entertainment place down the way...she'd never been. Heard some interesting stories and figured running her own place with a giant neon green alien head was more than enough to keep her busy...usually.

Waiting on an angel.
One to carry me home.
Hope you come to see me soon,
cause I don't want to go alone,
I don't want to go alone.
