He was not only more mature and sexy, but apparently bossy. There was only room for one bossy person in this exchange, partnership, and relationship whatever they were going to call it. She hadn’t traveled half way around the world to have this man, who’d finally grown a pair, tell her what she was or was not going to do. That was her job damn it! He advanced and Shania felt her body react, tingling sensations traveling her spin and causing her to curse inwardly at her body’s betrayal. ”I’m pretty sure our business is done. Has been done since you yellowbelly crawled your ass out of here.” Oh she was mad; hell irate didn’t even begin to cover it. His smug look was agitating, he’d taken her phone, gotten her truck impounded, shown up and thrown her for a loop, and above all else? He’d made her fall in love with him and that’s why she was so mad. She was mad because she cared and that caring had nearly ruined her life. ”Screw you.” Her hand coming up again, though this time it was open handed. The slap sounding against smooth flesh as she blinked in surprise at her own reaction, but she wasn’t going to take it back, she couldn’t. Her pride wouldn’t let her.
