She watched him as her words sank in, knowing he wasn't pleased with the outcome. She knew he wouldn't complain, but neither was he thrilled about being shoved to the bottom of the very steep hill that was their relationship. Maybe he had held out hope that he could hold some ground after all these years... Or maybe it just hurt to have his new place confirmed. She didn't feel like she knew him well enough to hazard a guess. She nodded to his question "Let me grab my bags..." She felt like they were playing musical chairs at this point. Likely they would continue to play musical beds for a little while longer, at least some of the older couples would, it seemed that both the younger pairs had either completely or nearly fixed their relationships. Ah, the joys of youth. So much trust and innocence... She missed that.
Sliding from her stool, she slipped through the group to the back door, grabbing her purse and bag. Slinging both over a shoulder, she edged around to the front door and out into the cool night air. Fingers slipped into her purse and pulled her smokes from their pocket before she removed one and lit up. She's completely expected blood to flow in there tonight, how it hadn't.... she wasn't quite sure

A smirk graced her plump red lips as he called loudly for the check, causing a scene as always. She chuckled as he spoke of her being an angel, making a quieting gesture with her hands "Shh, you'll ruin my reputation" Her smirk turned a bit wicked as she spoke again "I not doing it solely for your benefit either, I do have some interest vested in getting some cake too" Gods, he'd never be able to think of cake the same way again if she kept this up. Poor man would be scarred for life. Not that she thought he'd ever complain about the association.
She laughed as he spoke again, finding it a ridiculous thing to say, but somewhat true "Yay, you are" She stood, taking his offered elbow and tucking in close to his side. She'd been so lonely and bored without him, she figured it would take a while before the thrill of having physical contact with him once again worse off. Who know, with how they'd been before, she might never stop touching him this time around.
