Jarek NOTHING HURTS LIKE YOUR MOUTHThe city was large enough that Jarek would very likely encounter plenty of wolves on his own and educate them in the necessity of joining up with Verda. He did look forward to that, the chance to challenge and better himself at the expense of whoever he had to. Jarek was aware of his weaknesses, and that was what would one day lend him to greatness, he could weed out what was bad and replace it with something far superior...It didn't dampen his confidence in the least...Jarek was proud of the strength it took him to keep fighting for what he desired even when he was the underdog....He would be powerful one day, and a great asset to his Alpha...There was no uncertainty there.
Verda's words drew his gaze from Cassidy, the blue eyes settling on the darker ones. He couldn't say he was saddened by the chance to be out from beneath Verda's watchful gaze, he had been itching to run for a bit now, make himself familiar with the darker corners of this city...Of course, he did wonder where she would be and doing what, it was after all the nature of the pack to feel a bit of anxiety when their Alpha wasn't present. However their was prey to be had and kin to locate, trouble to get in to...And then she said his name. Jarek's clean cut features darkened as she forced him to refocus, making the wolf wonder if she was going to tell him not to chew on anyone while she was away, or that he needed to go do something horribly boring with himself, like...Well, he couldn't think of anything. However she pressed in passed his barriers and Jarek cleared his face, not belying her intrusion in the least to Cassidy. His steady gaze affirmed the order, though she could likely feel the manner in which he glowered over having to play big brother...mostly just to provide some sort of resistance.
Waiting, he remained where he was. Not until Verda rose and dismissed them would he too stand and stretch before flashing Cass a smirk and sauntering over to the bar.... |
