The silence between them spoke volumes in body language, from the almost inaudible sound of her purr, to the set of her shoulders... His seemingly lazy sprawl combined with the alertness in his muscles... The way their gazes skimmed hungrily over each other... He smirked as she looked away, searching for a waitress. He'd lost his desire for a drink, but wasn't about to turn one down either. His pulse jumped as her hand landed softly on his leg. With the way he was sitting, it fell just above the knee and on the inside of his leg. Hell, she could have touched his ankle and he'd still have reacted the same way. He couldn't hold back his purr this time, the rumble starting deep in his chest. The moment her hand left his leg, he missed the contact. It left his mind spinning for ways to get her hands back on his body. "Why don't we pound those drinks and get out of here... Maybe go for a run" Yay, it was leaning towards desperate, but not too badly... He didn't think he'd be able to keep his hands off her if this kept going... And he wasn't about to get bounced from a bar by his own mark... and father. He was trying to think of the fastest way to the edge of town, as he hadn't driven

Sometimes I feel like Jesse James
Still tryin' to make a name
Knowing nothing's gonna change what I am
I was a young troubadour
when I rode in on a song
I'll be an old troubadour
when I'm gone
