Elie herself sidled into the barn wearing black riding tights and a yellow hoody. “Well I’m here” She said with a “Oh Aren’t you soooo glad to see me” Smile on her face. “Now lets see…” she said walking down the row of stalls “I want to ride this big black and white 1” She said pointing and Major. A Firm “NO” came from Helen. “Well fine… I’ll ride that Chestnut over their” “No your not riding Fire” “Oh Helen I want to ride that gorgeous black one” “Actually Helen” Susan broke in gabbing a lead rope and Cobalt’s bridle “I’m taking Cobalt for a trail ride right now” she continued in a excess of sudden panic that her baby not be ridden by this girl. She bridled him and hopped on bare back. And rode out of the barn. “Actually…” Helen Said to Elie “Your riding that grey one out in the paddock” Pointing to spain. “well Al right” Helen walked out to the paddock with Elie and told her to go in and get Spain “But Helen the ground is muddy I’ll get my boots dirty” “That’s the point of your boots… they get dirty instead of your feet. Now go in and get him” Elie stalked into the paddock and got Spain. “Atleast she can lead a horse” Helen thought ruefully to herself. Back in the barn Elie commenced tacking up. She did EVERYTHING wrong. Helen followed her and quietly corrected the mistakes. Susan had only cantered Cobalt around a paddock and now she came back into the barn only 5 minutes later. Just in time to see Helen correcting a mistake on the bridle. They rolled their eyes at each other and then Elie said “See Susan I tacked him up all by myself and he was so wild” She said. Her Idea of wild was a little bit of prancing. “Very nice” Said Susan almost sarcastically. They headed out to the round pen. The fence around it was 4’3”. After 15 minutes of MAKING Elie walked and letting her trot a little tiny bit(during whitch she bounced around in the saddle like a mad thing) Elie said “I want to canter NOW” “Do you know how to get him to canter” “Of course you just kick em’ real hard until they canter” Elie thumped Spain in the side and Spain with ere of 1 who suffers fools gladly broke into a soft easy canter. Elie went flying off and landed with a thud on her butt. “She doesn’t know the first thing about riding does she?” Susan whispered to Helen as they ran over to help Elie up. “Helen….” Elie said in an annoyed voice “ Why did you put me on this tame animal I want to ride a wild horse”. Helen rolled her eyes at Susan. At this point Alli trotted into the barn yard on Bewitched after a long cross-country ride. Bewitched was bucked and prancing and being generally bad.
