"Jasmine! did you & Arianna finish getting Leap ready?" "Yes mom!" Arianna called.We were all get everything ready for Joey's suprise party.It was his 18th birthday, & I wanted everything to be perfect."ah..I'm finally done wrapping the presents," said Alex."Well," I said."I guess were all done." Just then, we heard the sound of a vehicle parking in the driveway."Places every1!" I called.Jasmine shut off the lights & we all hid somewhere.Joey walked in, and took off his jacket.We all leapt up and yelled "suprise! happy birthday Joey!" Joey smiled and said "wow, thanx you guys!" Jasmine said "Your welcome." Alex asked everybody "What do you think we should do first?" Jonathan & Darci yelled "cake!" Ari & Jasmine yelled "presents!" Joey shrugged."well, usually you would have cake first, but we'll leave it up to Joey to decide." Joey nodded & said "I'm not really a patient guy, so how about presnets first?" "okay," I said.everyone sat down somewhere."Open mine first!" Darci shouted excitedly."alright," said Joey.I walked over to the table that had all of the presents on it & picked up Darci's.I handed the present to Joey & he opened it.Joey had gotten a new pair of riding chaps!Joey quickly opened the rest of his presents & thanked everybody.Here is what he got:
From Dana & Alex:
~a lap top computer
~a brand new jumping saddle
~a mahogany wooden tack trunk with brass fittings
From Jasmine:
~a new martingale
~some clothing
From Arianna:
~a professional painting of Joey & Mr. Snazzy done from a photograph
~a book of horse vet medicine stuff
From Jonathan & Darci:
~a new bridle(payed for by Dana & Alex, with Darci & Jonathan pitching in 5 dollars each)
Then we all had cake.I saw Alex & Arianna slip off to get Joey's last present.Jasmine slipped out with a miniature carrot cake.5 minutes later, the doorbell rang."I wonder who it is," I said."Why don't you go get the door Joey?" Joey nodded and got up to answer the door.Darci, Jonathan & I went with him.Standing outside, was a very well groomed Leap of Courage with a bow around her neck & a little tag attached to her halter.Joey looked stunned.He walked up to Leap & looked at the tag on her halter.It said:

From: Your family
Happy Birthday Joey! Leap of Courage is yours now! We hope you like this big birthday present!
"I..I..dont believe it! You mean..she's all mine? Everyone nodded & said together "Happy Birthday Joey!" He smiled & patted the black Appendix filly on the nose.Leap nudged him, and Jasmine set down the small carrot cake in front of Leap.Alex & Arianna came up leading Mr. Snazzy & Boomerang, Jasmine set out some small carrot cakes for them to.Alex ran back to the barn & brought up Western Dreams.Now, Arianna had Mr. Snazzy's lead rope, Joey had Leap's, I had Boomerang's & Alex had Dream's lead rope.The horses quickly ate the carrot cake & looked around for more.We all went in a procession down to the barn leading a horse with the exception of Jasmine, Darci & Jonathan.We all put the horses back in there stalls & headed back up to the house to look at Joey's presents again."This was a awesome birthday you guys," said Joey."Thank you!"
