I was sound asleep when Holly came into my room. "Mom, I thought I heard Mini." she said. "Holly, go back to sleep." I said groggily. She went back into her room. Then, I heard
Sparkle and Courage, or so I thought. Shep, who was sleeping at the bottom of my bed, got up and looked out the window. I looked at the clock. It was 2 A.M. I looked out the window and saw, below my window, Sparkle. TC was standing near her and Spark was playing with Courage. "O my gosh!" I said. I jumped out of bed and pulled on my boots. I grabbed a jacket and told Emily to come help me. "Can I come?' Asked Holly. I told her no and to watch us through the kitchen. "Shep, come." I said. My aussie could help if it was needed.We ran to the barn and got out halters. I got
Courage's halter. Sparkle and TC came right to me. They went obediently into their stalls without any help. They got treats. Next, Flick and Mini came into their stalls, not as obediently as Sparkle and TC, but pretty easily. Next, I took the foal halter and Emily took Courage's halter. She caught Courage and,with shep's help, I got Spark. We put those 2 away and then got ready to catch my race horse, Windy and my TB broodmare, Amy. "Anything I can do mom?" Emily asked. If Windy comes your way, get him, if not, don't worry about it. I walked in Amy's direction. she nickered at me and walked over to me. I then slipped her halter on and gave her to Emily. Next, Shep cornered and I caught Windy. We put the horses away, checked to make sure the doors where latched and went back into the house. We got settled down and went back to bed. What a night!
