You had a shot at the Committee, Stuart, of which I am a member. Your original post was offensive particularly the "someone's pet rule" comment.
>This is a forum to find

This is a forum for discussion of cricket, women's and otherwise. Yes, the issue of grounds is a relevant topic for discussion, however, the purpose of the forum is NOT for destructive criticism of the Committee.
>So far, it appears that

Three posts does not constitute "a lot of support". Again, I will point out that ALL clubs came to a consensus on this issue at the last Council meeting. End of discussion!
>I came on strong as there was a game that wasn't
>washed out but was unable to be played due to the

So, correct me if I'm wrong but the REAL issue here is the fact that the local Council involved did not prepare a pitch! May I remind all Club administrators that it's up to each of you to ensure you have a good rapport with both your groundskeeper and local Council so that this sort of thing does not happen. The Committee can not possibly be expected to accept blame when one Club has not done its job.
>Both teams agreed to play on

Again, all Clubs made this decision.

By all means, bring it up at the next Rules Review meeting or as I've previously stated, write a letter to Leanne or Chris.

Fair enough but please go through the correct channels.
>I did come on a bit strong and I did apologise (see
>other thread), and I don't think i deserve the bagging

Thank you for your apology and I did see and acknowledge it in the 2nd thread. Your original comments were destructive - that's why I responded the way I did. The Committee did not deserve the bagging it got.
>In the interim Sal, keep up the good work and type
>with a smile on your face. it keeps the atmosphere

This is very patronising, Stuart. This forum was started by me with the express intention of having a place where players/coaches could post their weekly scores, discuss their performances, results, etc, etc. It is not your place to tell me to be more "genteel" in a forum that I administer. We had no problems whatsoever with the atmosphere on this forum until your original post.
Now, I think we've both aired our respective grievances so let's just put this behind us and, as "Hungry" suggested, move on.
Regards
Sally
