Gee Sal, don't get so upset. This is a forum to find out what everyone thinks. So far, it appears that there is a lot of support out there for what i'm proposing.
I came on strong as there was a game that wasn't washed out but was unable to be played due to the pitch not being prepared. Both teams agreed to play on a wicket that was available, the umpires agreed, but the committee when contacted would not allow the game to proceed.
I feel i have the support of the many and I do intend to bring the matter forward at the relevant time now that I think there may well be support for it.
I'm sure you and the committee have the best interests of the comp at heart and are guided by the council. I have also put a lot of work into local girls and boys cricket over the past years as well as netball and many other community matters. I am a volunteer like you making a comment and I think a fair comment and attempting to garner whether there is a groundswell of support.
I did come on a bit strong and I did apologise (see other thread), and I don't think i deserve the bagging you gave me.
In the interim Sal, keep up the good work and type with a smile on your face. it keeps the atmosphere more genteel
