Please be aware that the ICC has adopted a number of new laws, some of which will apply to our competition. From a scoring perspective, the new rules of most interest are that a wide and a no-ball are now worth one run each plus whatever is scored after the fact. For example:

1. If a bowler bowls a wide that beats the 'keeper and the batters take off and run 2, then 3 wides will be recorded against the bowler and 3 wides will be recorded in the sundries column of your scorebook. 3 wides will also be recorded in the wides column in the bowler's summary.

2. If a bowler bowls a no-ball that gets hit for 4, 1 no-ball will be recorded in the sundries section, 4 runs (enclosed in a circle) will be recorded to the batter and 5 runs shall be recorded against the bowler (In your scorebook this should be recorded as a 4 enclosed in a circle against the bowler). Only 1 no-ball however, will be recorded in the no-ball column of the bowler's summary.

If this is unclear or you have any further questions, please ask.

Sal
