Hi.. im fairly new to fishing, done some normal coarse fishing this year, best catch 2lb tench.. so nothing massive. Also done a tiny bit of sea fishing - 13 dogfish in two days best being 2 1/4lb. My coarse fishing rod is a very light rod, no idea on test curve. I have a cheap 12" beachcaster rod, casting weight 120g - 150g. Im really eager to get into fishing alot more this year (hmm well nxt year in 2hrs 28 mins) and woulnt mind catching some pike, local lake has some (duno how many though, need to have chat with guy) would the beachcaster rod i have be suitable for pike + zander fishing? Obviously its not designed specificaly for pike etc but would it do the job? Also how important is line visibility (or lack of) when pike fishing, i have sea line of 15lb and 25lb, the 15lb is yellow (sea line designed to be visible often, so anglers can see where it is). Basicaly can i use my sea setup for pike + zaner fishing etc?

Hmm im tried so excuse any confusion..

Happy New Year to everyone btw..

Rob
