the yellow 15lb line is fine. The rod is a bit heavy for pike and zander. which would cause baits tobe cast off and lack of enjoyment through not bending much £50 would get a decent pike rod. You could also lose pike when playing them with a stiff beech caster unless very carfull. Hope this helps good fishing.
