I will agree at this point that Scully didn't ditch her boring guy because she wanted Mulder instead in a romantic way, she just craved the work situation she was involved in now and decided she could forgo having a love life for awhile. Who could blame her? Chasing mutants was pretty exciting (except for the factor of possibly getting killed). I wonder though if the blnd date had turned out to be a real sweetie, grea guy, everything she was looking for, would her decision have been different? Or maybe she really didn't lknow what she wanted herself and like Mulder, was on her own kind of search.

Scully may not have looked good in her outfits but Mulder looked plenty fine in just his sloppy white tshirt. No Beast Woman wasn't beautiful but Mulder has weird taste. Hmm, how should Scully feel in later years thinking back that Mulder is attracted to her and also attracted to Beast Woman?

Maybe there was an assumed edit and we just didn't see M&S go from their basement office to the elevator and then up to the other area?
