I hadn't seen it in a long while and saw something I'd forgotten. Initially CSM was trying to make Spender into the grand son that he wanted. He wanted him to carry on the legacy and be great like he thought he was himself. But I guess later on he realized Sender was no Mulder and he couldn't deal with te disapointment of his son being inferior in his eyes so he shot him.

That tells me there that Mulder couldn't be CSM's son. Because CSM was upset that Spender couldn't be as intuitive and special as Mulder. If Mulder was his son too why would CSM be upset as long as his other son was what he wanted? Mulder being CSM's son just doesn't fit. Unless CS?M didn't know Mulder was his and it's just a coincidence that he dreamed of Mulder being his son.

Thanks for the biblical lesson CW. What book is that from?
