Subject: *sob* The end is near!!!

Boy howdy, am I ever going to miss this show. Nine years is a heck of a long time for a show to be on the air, and this one kept the quality up long after most would falter. I am disappointed that the show won't be back next year - I really think Doggett and Reyes could have made it work.

I have high hopes for the finale. I think the show will get the send-off it deserves. There will be enough unanswered questions to keep us hooked for the next movie.

I've been thinking a lot about Pilot lately. Mulder with his idealism, and Scully with her science. Mulder has struggled to keep his idealism from lapsing into cynicism, which for him would be the equivalent of giving up. Scully's involvement with the x-files led her back to her faith.

As I look at my M&S Ken & Barbie dolls, with Flukeman posed inbetween them, I get a little misty eyed. I love this show! And without this show I wouldn't have met you guys (my sister being the unfortunate exception---hehehe).

Not to get all sappy, but I plan to watch the finale with the same anticipation I had when I began watching the show near the end of season 2. Forget about all of CC's screw-ups and misjudgements. Forget the disputes between DD and Fox, forget the contract requiring GA to stay for season 9. I'm going to forget all that stuff, sit back, and let the show entertain me as it has many, many times.
