I also think that Mulder knew from the start what was going to happen--even before the trial began. It was just something in his comments, the look in his eyes, and how he acted. I still think his ESP or whatever it is called has returned but Gibson maybe taught him how to control it. It would explain his ability to see and speak with the "ghosts" as well.

If not, he always was the one who could make the "leaps" and come to conclusions way before anybody else could. Either way I enjoyed this episode so much. I also am finding all sorts of things that remind me of the XFiles in the books I am reading. Just little things like red-haired FBI women (the latest two were excellent shots, just as Scully had to be when she shot Mulder.)
