Scully has made comments/hints--that she wanted a normal life--to settle and not do so much running. Watching her around children gave such a strong visual image of S wanting a family. I think that All Things was a result of a story she wanted to do, regardless of the pregnancy possibility, that would indicate a romance between M and S. So I do think that she would have gotten pregnant somehow in the series at some point. I think CC encouraged GA to make All Things so he could expand on the story line for an actual pregnancy later.
