I have to say that I *really* liked this story! As I'm sure you know, I'm not a big fan of the MSR. But your writing style is *quite* true to character and I wanted to let you know.

I have to agree with Detoured that your characterization of Doggett was perfect. It made me smile :) I'm glad you at least recognize what an upstanding guy he is even if you don't like his presence on the show.

A few years ago I began writing an X-Files/Fugitive crossover. Isn't that funny? I never finished it because it was on a dead end path. Sam Girard is one of my favorite characters of all time. I always thought Scully would like him because of his up front, take charge way, and that he and Mulder would clash because of their differences. I think a fic that featured more of Sam Girard's character would be really interesting.

Anyway, I think I'm going to go and read the prequel of this fanfic!
