As Scully turns the car to head to the motel, a darting figure in the school yard catches her eye. She screeches to a stop outside of the fence to the baseball diamond.

"Mulder, did you see that?" Scully yelled while throwing the car into park.

"Yawn...what?" replied Mulder.

Scully gets out of the car with her gun drawn while Mulder tries to catch a snooze in the front seat. Scully reaches through the open window and pulls Mulder out by his hair.

"Ooh, I like it when you're rough!" he says as he stumbles up to his knees.

"Can it, Mulder," Scully is slowly easing her way to the end of the fence. A multitude of shadows start making their way to the third base line.

A slight, redheaded figure steps out into the light.

"Look, it's the redheaded girl!" whispers Mulder.

"No, no, I think it's a redheaded little person," says Scully and she inches forward to see better

"A midget? That's who we've been chasing all this time?" sputters Mulder.

"I think the PC term is little person," Scully corrects him dryly. "But look, there's more!"

A crowd of slight, redheaded girls follows the miniature redheaded woman. She is small, but she carries with her an aura of power in her long black cape and black dress. She walks up to Scully.

"So...at last we meet," she says softly to Scully, looking intensely into her eyes.

"Yes. Strange, I feel as if we've met before." says Scully, looking puzzled.

"Oh yes, Agent Scully, we've met. I understand you've been hoping to see an awakening." said the redheaded woman, with a quick, darting glance at Mulder as he walks up. "Come with me."

Scully follows the redheaded woman to homeplate. Mulder starts to follow, but is surrounded by small, grim-faced redheaded girls.

"Hey Scully! Tell your friend to call off her neophytes!" Mulder yells.

He looks over at homeplate, just in time to see a yawning hole open and Scully and the miniature woman walk into it. They're swallowed by the hole, and then homeplate looks as if nothing had ever happened. He looks around. The girls have also disappeared.
